Alpha™ Vanes
The Alpha® vane is a new profile for Bohning that combines Stealth + Speed + Torque. The vane features an Advanced Torque Apex with a gradual taper to the tail which gives you optimal balance of spin and stealth. At the rear of the vane, you will see a contoured tail which minimizes vane flutter. Less vane flutter reduces noise and helps retain speed. The vane measures 2.8″ (71.1mm) in length, 0.45″ in height (11.4mm) for low clearance, and each vane weighs 8.5 grains. The Alpha vane excels as a 3D Vane, Hunting Vane, Indoor Target Vane and a Crossbow Vane.
The Alpha vane is made from Bohning’s AR1250 Material. It is a stiffer material that allows for fast, ultra-quiet flight over longer distances. Our stiffer material also provides maximum speeds when fletched at a 1 degree offset, while staying silent. Bohning AR1250 is also our lightest material.
All Bohning vanes are pre-primed and do not require vane cleaning or pen primers. We recommend Blazer Bond® or Fletch Fuse® adhesives for best adhesion for the Apha Vane. Do not use solvent-based glues.

Atlas™ Vanes
The Atlas® vane is the same profile as the Alpha vane but it is made in our AR1000 material. It combines Torque + Forgiveness + Durability. The vane features an Advanced Torque Apex with a gradual taper to the tail which gives you optimal balance of spin and stealth. The vane measures 2.8″ (71.1mm) in length, 0.45″ in height (11.4mm) for low clearance, and each vane weighs 9.0 grains. At the rear of the vane, you will see a contoured tail which minimizes vane flutter. Less vane flutter reduces noise and helps retain speed. The low profile allows clearance on even the tightest set-ups. This vane excels as a 3D Vane, Hunting Vane, Indoor Target Vane, and is within the specifications to use on NASP arrows.
Bohning’s AR1000 Material is Bohning’s original vane material that provides for excellent adhesion and durability, while being extremely forgiving for any potential contact.
All Bohning vanes are pre-primed and do not require vane cleaning or pen primers. For our most durable and flexible adhesion, Bohning suggests using Fletch-Tite Platinum® for our AR1000 material. If faster cure times are needed, we recommend BlazerBond® or Fletch Fuse®adhesives.

Blazer® Vanes
The Blazer® Vane is designed for steering fixed-blade broadheads and has been the #1 hunting vane for over 10 years! It measures 2″ (50.8mm) in length, 0.53″ (13.5mm) in height, and weighs an average of 6.0 grains (388.8 mg). True Color printed Blazers weigh an average of 6.1 grains (395 mg). Like all Bohning vanes, the base of the Blazer Vane is pre-primed for optimal adhesion.
The Blazer® Vane has dropped more jaws, hung more trophies, convinced more skeptics, and provided more big silly grins than all the “knock-off”, “wanna-be”, “copy-cat” vanes combined! This is the vane that, hands down, out-performs them all! It’s designed for fixed-blade broadheads but is also perfect for crossbows and 3D archery. The Blazer® Vane, with its unique design, begins steering and correcting immediately – making believers out of bow hunters and target shooters alike! The combination of the steep leading edge angle and its material properties enables air to flow over the vane in a manner that actually creates lift. This leaves the tip of each vane inside undisturbed air, similar to the drafting principle used in auto racing. This airflow also makes the tip of each vane to act like a rudder, which is noticeable at longer distances with the flatter trajectory Blazer® Vanes provide. We recommend fletching Blazer® vanes with a helical for perfect results.
What’s in your quiver? If it doesn’t say Blazer® and carry the Bohning® logo, it’s not a REAL BLAZER. Only Bohning makes the Blazer Vane, and we proudly print our name on each one. It’s not just the profile that sets us apart from look-a-likes, our proprietary material has been tested in extreme conditions to make sure it doesn’t fail you when it really counts. Don’t be fooled by copycats. If it doesn’t say Bohning, it’s not a Blazer and it won’t perform like one.

Heat® Vanes
The Heat® Vane, with its low profile and quiet flight, is ideal for bowhunting and 3D archery. It quickly became popular for indoor spots and crossbow bolts as well. Its low profile provides more cable clearance, and the ultra-stiff material the Heat Vane is made of prevents vane flutter for a smooth arrow rotation. When using with a fixed-blade broadhead, we recommend a four fletch. The Heat Vane measures 2.5″ (63.5mm) in length, 0.41″ (10.4mm) in height, and weighs an average of 6.1 grains (395 mg). Like all Bohning vanes, the base of the Heat Vane is pre-primed for optimal adhesion.
Due to the ultra-stiff material, we recommend using an instant glue and/or a fletching jig with high adhesion force such as Bohning’s Tower Jig or Multi-Fletcher.

TrueFletch™ Vanes
True Fletch offers a fast and easy way to fletch arrows. It fits arrows from 0.219 -0.375 (5.6 – 9.5mm). Slowly submerge in boiling water to apply. Store in a cool place until use. Blazer® True Fletch measures 5 (12.7cm) in length and weighs an average of 27 grains.
The Blazer vanes on your True Fletch are on a 1° right angle, however, the final angle may vary depending on the method you use to dip the True Fletch into the boiling water. If you submerge it straight down then twist back and forth, the offset will remain at approximately 1° right. Twisting clockwise while submerging the True Fletch provides a 1.5° to 2° right angle, and twisting counter-clockwise provides a 0.5° to 1° right angle.
